Our Telecommunications and Technology Team advises corporate entities and individuals on the establishment and operation of telecommunications and technology companies.
Areas covered include:
- Owning and operating fibre optic cables, satellites, satellite constellations and fibre optic cable networks
- Owning and operating telecommunications support facilities
- Owning, licensing and developing intellectual property rights and patents
- Registration of trademarks in Bermuda, the Caribbean, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Jersey and several countries in Latin America
We provide these services for companies with private and public ownership and deal with solving the practicalities of simple transactions through to the more difficult, technical issues associated with complex structured products. For instance, we have advised in relation to the structuring and operation of joint venture companies and the creation of companies which, after private equity investment, have subsequently been taken public.
E-Business and Information Technology
We also have extensive experience in advising on general IT and e-business matters, including advising the banking and financial community on e-banking initiatives. We have also advised a number of entrepreneurial e-business clients setting up their businesses, including advising and assisting these companies to list on AIM.
